Tunbridge Wells Sacred Hearts are beating faster after races
ON YOUR MARKS: The Beechwood Sacred Heart School running group gather at the starting line

A total of 19 runners raised more than £300 for Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, Childline and CAFOD [the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development].

Lucinda Coakley, the school’s registrar, said: “For many it was the first time attempting these distances – and a massive effort on one of the toughest road races in the area. Palesgate Lane was certainly a challenge for all!

“Thinking about how we could raise money for the school charities, our teacher Rebecca Smith managed to convince the team to run.

“We are incredibly proud of the whole -Beechwood team and it was a fantastically well organised event.”
