Suspected Tunbridge Wells burglar charged and remanded

Kent Police was called to a flat in Mount Ephraim on 6 December 2018, where it is alleged a man was disturbed as he tried to enter through a sash window. On Sunday 9 December officers on patrol in the town spotted a man matching the suspect’s description in Carlton Road.

Michael Maloney, 38 and of no fixed address was arrested and subsequently charged with attempted burglary.

He was further charged with handling stolen goods, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance or a licence. He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 11 December.
