Pothole on A21 causes damage to a 'number of vehicles'

Kent Police received reports of the hole on Thursday [November 1] on the southbound stretch of the motorway and closed one lane.

The force said Kent Highways crews ‘responded quickly’ to the incident and were on scene by around 5.30pm. The carriageway was open again around 7pm.

Users of Times social media said at one time five cars were seen parked up after apparently sustaining damage because of the hole.
