Gatwick reopens but delays expected

London’s second busiest airport has said they have over 800 flights scheduled for Friday, but some some delays and cancellations were expected.

Yesterday’s disruption was caused by illegal drone activity near to the runway. Police have yet to make any arrests, but it is believed environmental activists could be behind the drones, which were first spotted on Wednesday night.

Travellers are being asked to check flight information befire leaving for the airport, but Gatwick expect to be back to normal by the end of Saturday.
