A BOLLYWOOD movie is being shot at the Nevill. Called ’83, it tells the story of India’s winning campaign at the Cricket World Cup in 1983, during which they faced Zimbabwe in Tunbridge Wells.
Reduced to 17 for 5, the Indians recovered thanks to a remarkable innings of 175 by all-rounder Kapil Dev. They went on to win the trophy for the first time, beating West Indies in the final. Kapil is being played by a superstar of Indian cinema, Ranveer Singh.
