The Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines to the scene on Lawrence Road after the victim was hit by the car just before 9am on Friday [June 21].
The crews used airbags and hydraulic rescue equipment to lift the vehicle and release the casualty, whose injuries were said to be not life-threatening.
Air Ambulance Kent Surrey and Sussex also attended the incident along with the regular ambulance paramedics, and she was airlifted to hospital.
