FAMILY and friends gathered at the George and Dragon pub in Speldhurst to light candles in memory of Florence Jackson, the local two-year old who lost her fight against cancer.
She died shortly before leaving for America after her family raised £300,000 on social media for potentially lifesaving treatment. Flo was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2015.
Parents Carolyn and Rodney Jackson, along with Flo’s sister Charlotte, were among those who lit red candles as part of a Wave of Light For Flo.
“It was beautiful and so very well done – thank you,” said Mr Jackson.
Around 10,000 people supported the campaign to help Flo and were invited by the family to light their own red candles and post pictures online.
