EIGHT drivers of Arriva buses will be cycling in the British Heart Foundation’s London to Brighton race on June 18 to raise money for the charity.
Last year Kyle Galloway started a social Sunday bike ride for his fellow drivers and it has been so successful that they decided to put themselves to the test.
Kyle and his colleagues are keen to make a positive contribution to charity in order to help dispel the tension surrounding recent changes to Arriva’s bus routes.
“There’s been a lot of animosity around here after the loss of vital routes, which has ostracised members of the local community,” he said. “I just want people to know that it’s not our fault.”
