Tunbridge Wells carers win Kent awards

CARERS from two companies in Tunbridge Wells were recognised at the annual Kent Care Awards at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone. They were chosen from among more than 200 nominations countywide.

Regal Care’s Shelley Wesley was given the Dementia Care Award in recognition of her dedication and enthusiasm supporting residents with dementia in an understanding, caring environment.

Greensleeves Care chefs Michelle Bryant and Amanda Hodge received the Care Nutrition Award in recognition of the delicious and well-balanced menus and treats they create with nutrition and individual preferences in mind.

Greensleeves Manager Karen Cooper said: “We’re delighted with the award. Michelle and Amanda take nutrition very seriously, but the real joy for them is in providing wholesome meals that they know the residents will enjoy.”

Gladiola Apiado, Manager for Regal Care, commented: “The award is much deserved. Shelley is a very caring lady with huge enthusiasm.

“She is totally dedicated to her work and always goes the extra mile to support all of her residents.”
