Tunbridge Wells A&E heroes recognised at hospital awards night

MEMBERS of the Accident & Emergency team at Tunbridge Wells Hospital have been recognised for their outstanding service.

The Respect Individual Award went to Ethel Candelaria at the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Staff Stars Awards, while Kate Holmes, A&E Matron, received the award for Employee of the Year.

The Surgical Assessment Team at the Pembury site received the accolade for Team Excellence.

The event at Oakwood House in Maidstone recognises those who ‘always go above and beyond expectations in their roles’.

The awards were handed out by former star of TV’s Loose Women Carol McGiffin along with the Trust’s Chief Executive, Jim Lusby, and Chairman, David Highton.

A charity raffle raised over £1,000 for the blood cancer charity Bloodwise, which was nominated by Carol as the beneficiary.
