Tonbridge woman is attacked on mobility scooter

A DISABLED woman has said she was attacked by a gang of youths in Tonbridge as she tried to cross the road on her mobility scooter.

Rosalind Smith, of Pine Ridge, told police she was approached by the group on Darenth Avenue at 6.45pm on Sunday June 23.

They allegedly tried to take items from her including her handbag, umbrella and a crutch.

The 54-year-old victim, who has four children, suffered an injury to her ribs during attempts by the suspects to remove the crutch.
