THE SCOTTS PROJECT in Tonbridge has benefited from half of the funds raised by The Tonbridge Philharmonic Society at its Family Carols concert in December.
The event, which was organised in association with Tonbridge Round Table, raised £1,591 for the charity, which supports people with learning disabilities to gain the confidence they need to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Mark Allen, Chief Executive of The Scotts Project, said: “We are enormously grateful to the Tonbridge Philharmonic Society and the whole of the local community for the wonderful amount raised. It’s much appreciated.
“The Tonbridge community is vital in supporting the learning disabled people for whom we care at Scotts, their happiness and their development as members of the community themselves.”
The remainder of the proceeds from the Christmas concert went to the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance Service.
