Tonbridge hosts book signing by detective novelist

The Mead School in Tunbridge Wells gave a professional level performance in the  ISA drama contests

BESTSELLING author Peter Robinson is coming to Tonbridge Library this month for a book signing.

The man behind the DCI Banks books and TV series will also give a talk about his career on Thursday, August 9, from 7pm-8pm.

The English-Canadian author is best known for his crime novels set in Yorkshire, featuring Inspector Alan Banks. Well-known actor Stephen Tompkinson played him in the TV series.

Mr Robinson has also published a number of other novels and short stories, as well as some poems and articles on writing.

He has won numerous awards around the world and his works have been translated into 19 languages.

Entry cost £6, including refreshments.

Booking is essential and tickets can be purchased at the library.
