A final call is being made for teams to join an array of colourful entrants in this year’s Tonbridge Dragon Boat Race.
There are still several spots left at what is one of the town’s biggest annual events, which this year takes place on Sunday September 11.
Sarah Spence, of Tonbridge Town Team, said: “Events such as these show what an innovative and great town we live in. The spirit and atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Race is amazing, and just proves what a fantastic community we have.
“We do want a few more teams to join up, though, and so this is a call to all prospective dragons out there.
“Young and old can race, and families, associations and clubs have the opportunity of racing and raising money for charity if they so wish. No training is needed at all, and all instruction, equipment and boats are supplied by Dragon Boat Events on the day.
“We will have stalls along the river and the Medieval Fair will be on the Castle Lawn as well, so a brilliant family day out will be had by all.”
