TRIBUTES have poured in for a popular young barber from Rusthall who was killed on Sunday (May 14) when the motorcycle he was riding was in collision with a car.

Josh Field, 24, who was a partner at Dapper Dans in the High Street, Tonbridge, was out with a group of friends when the accident happened shortly before 3pm on the A26 just south of Crowborough.

His red and black Suzuki GSXR collided with a silver Ford Fusion being driven by a 70-year-old woman.

An air ambulance landed at the nearby Crowborough Beacon golf course, but Mr Field was pronounced dead at the scene.

Messages have since flooded in from family, friends and customers who knew the barber, with several floral tributes left outside Dapper Dans itself.

His mother Mandy Field wrote on Facebook: “Thank you for all the lovely messages, the flowers and cards, just shows how much he was loved, my heart is breaking the tears won’t stop flowing.”

A colleague, Georgie May added: “Knowing I’m never going to work with you again breaks my heart, work is going to be so hard to be in and around for a very long time.”

The Nuts, another barbers based in Quarry Hill Road said:”The Nuts would just like to pay our respect to Josh Field a well-known talented barber from Dapper Dans. He was once our Saturday boy and it was a pleasure to have known such a wonderful person who we also called a friend.”

Mr Field lived in Rusthall with his girlfriend Stephanie Massey and their friend Anna-Marie Salter.

“Words cannot even describe what a down to earth, lovely, crazy, caring boy Josh Field is. You will be missed so much by so many people. The house won’t be the same without you.

“I’ve had one of the best years with you and Steph as my roomies,” wrote Ms Salter on Facebook.
