River Lawn petition forces formal debate

Calls for creation of Tonbridge Town Council

THE official petition against the disposal of River Lawn passed the 1,500 signature threshold this week [Monday, May 29].

A debate of the proposals must now be held by the full 54-member council, with residents able to voice their opposition to the proposals during the meeting.

Whatever the views of the full council, this will only result in a recommendation to the Cabinet, who have the final say over the decision. They originally approved the sale on February 9
