TWO employees of Hendy Automotive have been congratulated for serving the firm for a quarter of a century.
The addition of Karen Ackerman and Tony Lane to the company’s ’25 Year Club’ brings the number of members up to an impressive 104.
Hendy, who have dealerships in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge, rewarded members of the club with an evening of entertainment at Hever Castle with drinks, a tour and music from a string quartet.
Chief Executive Paul Hendy said: “Our friendly and motivated staff are key to our success, so it’s important to us to reward them for their loyalty. “I am immensely proud that such a high percentage of our workforce want to stay here for decades.”
Hendy Group forecasts that 15 per cent of its staff will have racked up 25 years of service or more by 2022. They attribute the high retention levels to ‘good training, staff development prospects and the fact it is family-run’.
