THE Tonbridge Camera Club were able to finish off another successful year on a high as a photograph by one of their members beat more than 400 entries to win an international competition.
John Hunt’s ‘White Tailed Sea Eagles in aerial spat’ [pictured] was given first place at the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers Awards.
Mr Hunt, who is now retired and works as a Scout Leader in Hawkhurst has been a member of the club for seven years, took the shot in the Danube Delta of Romania, the second largest river delta in Europe, in February last year.
The club has over 80 members and has been running for more than half a century. The new season starts in September at the Weald of Kent Grammar school when new members of all abilities will be welcomed.
