A NEW provider of GP-led home care services named Vitality Home Health has come to the Tonbridge area.

Based in Otford, a team of lifestyle GPs provide advice and support to care assistants to ensure their clients are provided with a bespoke service.

Dr Manpinder Sahota, the lead Lifestyle GP, said: “Working as a GP over the last 24 years, I have seen the devastating effects conditions such as dementia, stroke and loneliness can have on people and their families.

“I have seen people receive very basic care at home, but there is so much more to be done to help improve their physical and emotional recovery.”

Vitality Home Health focuses on nutrition and exercise in order to be beneficial both physically and in terms of mental health.

In addition to receiving the best care possible, this helps customers to live their lives in the way that they choose.

This is facilitated by social prescribing to sources of community support to increase their independence.

Care Manager Leah Tickle said: “I am really looking forward to heading up this service, watching care staff develop new skills and delivering outstanding quality of care.

“It is time for home care to offer much more, and Vitality Home Health are doing exactly that.”
