A CAR driver who caused the death of a motorcyclist after she travelled the wrong way down a one-way section has been jailed for two years.

Andrea Dagi, 30, of Lancashire Road, Maidstone, last week admitted death by dangerous driving following the incident on the A26 Tonbridge Road on October 13, 2017.

The 60-year-old motorcyclist was conveyed to a London hospital for medical attention where he subsequently died of his injuries on October 31.

Dagi pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared before Maidstone Crown Court at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at the same court on Friday [August 17].

She will also be disqualified from driving and will be required to take an extended retest.
