Man arrested after assault on woman in Tonbridge

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a reported assault on a woman who was walking home from Tonbridge train station.
The incident took place at around 8.30pm on Sunday September 22 between Shipbourne Road and Cheviot Close, where it is understood the victim was struck on the head.
A 45-year-old man from Hildenbrough was arrested on Monday and was bailed to return to the police station on October 21.
Kent Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident and are asking anybody who has dashcam footage in the area of the station, the High Street, Shipbourne Road and the junction with Darenth Avenue between 8pm and 9.15pm to contact them.
The suspect is described as being white, 30 to 40 years of age, and of medium build. He was wearing a dark suit type jacket with a lapel pin and dark trousers.
