The Tonbridge Daily community Facebook page is set to launch its first annual calendar for charity.

A number of independent traders have already committed their support to the venture, which will feature a series of photographs from across the area.

Tonbridge Daily started life as a blog on town life in 2012, and has grown into a popular town Facebook page for community issues.

Its Twitter feed has gained a following of more than 2,700 followers as a forum for discussion about events affecting Tonbridge and its surrounding villages.

All proceeds of the calendar will go towards charities supported by the Tonbridge Lions Club.

There will be a private launch event at the Old Fire Station in Tonbridge on October 11, before it will be released to stores within the town.

So far, Sulston’s Kitchen, Grace, Beyond The Grounds, Robinson Jackson Estate Agents and Artspring Gallery are among those who will be stocking the 2017 calendar.

Bob Bartlett, President of Tonbridge Lions, added: “We are very pleased to be associated with the calendar, which we hope will be an on-going project that proves popular.

“We are glad the proceeds will be going to the Lions, with the funds raised being put towards charities and good causes within the area.”
