THE eagerly awaited second edition of the Tonbridge Daily calendar will be launched on Wednesday September 20 at Tonbridge Old Fire Station.
Sponsored by Tonbridge Lions Club, the inaugural calendar was a sell-out last year with a second printers’ run due to high demand.
Sales raised £4,000 with all proceeds going straight back into the community through Tonbridge Lions’ charities and causes.
Tonbridge Daily invited members of the public to submit photos of the town, and a team of judges from local businesses and -community groups picked the ones used for publication.
The 13 images will be revealed for the first time at the launch evening at the Old Fire Station, and the calendar will be on sale for £7.
The Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling, Cllr Roger Dalton, Tom Tugendhat MP, Lions President Gordon Hill, local retailers and members of the community will be present.
The general public are invited to attend after 7.30pm and meet the team behind the calendar.
Suzannah Niklas of Tonbridge Daily said: “We could not do this without the help of the community, and especially Tonbridge Old Fire Station for providing a typically iconic Tonbridge building in which to launch, and to the 11 independent Tonbridge retailers who will be selling the calendar to the public. Tonbridge Daily and Tonbridge Lions Club are extremely grateful.”
