A WIZARDING Winter Fair is being held at Tonbridge Grammar School on Sunday [November 9] to raise funds for its science department.

The Harry Potter style event organised by the Parent Teacher Association features an interactive display of owls and a Lotions & Potions Room in the science labs where you can earn your wand licence. Prizes will be given for the best dressed witch and wizard.

There will also be opportunities to try sand art and make a ceramic Christmas gifts in Harry's Pottery, alongside fortune telling and face painting, a giant snow globe, bungee trampolines and a 40ft inflatable assault course.

The school’s cafe is offering Hogroast and Butterbeer, cocktails at the Gin Inn and Freakshakes for children.

All bakes must be received at the school by Friday [December 7]. Prizes include a wine-tasting at Sussex Wines and a half-day parent and child cookery class at the Cookery Shed.

A Christmas market will feature 60 stalls selling gifts, textiles and toiletries, leather goods, books, candles, jewellery, handmade festive sweets, and local luxury food and drink.

The event at the school on Deakin Leas runs from 11.30am to 3pm and entry costs 50p.
