Horder Healthcare has taken the keys to a new all-terrain patient transport vehicle after its fundraising appeal raised £25,000.
The 4×4 Volvo XC70 was provided by Volvo Hildenborough, and the dealership also donated £500 towards the appeal.
The charity had especially identified the need for a 4×4 vehicle to help with transport needs in harsh or extreme weather conditions to ensure they can access its services.
Richard Bentley, Operations Director for Horder Healthcare, said: “We would like to thank everyone who helped us to raise the money that has enabled us to buy this vehicle.
“It now means we can help our more dependent patients, who don’t have their own transport, access our services in all weather conditions.”
