TONBRIDGE MUSIC WEEKEND has been confirmed to return this summer as the organisers announced the headline acts last week.

Previously known as Tonbridge Festival, performers at the fifth annual event will include tribute acts Complete Madness and UK Beach Boys, as well as 80s party band Madhen. The festivities will take place over the weekend of July 7 – 8.

Organiser Andy Brett said: “The theme this year is ‘going mad at the Castle’ so it’s really great we’ve got Complete Madness playing.

“On Saturday we’ve got Madhen. They have performed before as So 80s and so many people asked ‘can we have them again?’ So we did.”

He added that talks are ongoing for booking a Sunday headliner.

Previously organised by volunteers, the event this year will be a commercial endeavour run by Mr Brett.

Last year a sell-out 1,600 strong crowd watched The Take That Experience on the Saturday [July 9 2016] at the Castle grounds.

Tickets will be on sale from March 1 either online or through the Gateway offices at the Castle.
