Free entry to Tonbridge Castle for the Armed Forces

The Armed Forces Day flag has been raised at the Castle to mark a nationwide week of celebrations in support of the country’s armed forces and will remain in place all week.

Visitors will gain entry to the tourist attraction on presentation of a military identity document.

Nicolas Heslop, Leader of Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, said: “Armed Forces Day gives us the opportunity to pay tribute to the men and women who dedicate themselves to serving and protecting our country.

“That we are still marking this day 101 years after the end of World War I is significant in itself and I am pleased that we are able to help raise awareness of the enormous contribution that our armed forces have made and continue to make across the world.
