The programme will be held for one day a week at the Angel Centre, running from 9.30am to 4pm. It starts on Monday [March 23] and lasts for six weeks.

Successful Mums founder Jane Knight has designed it to help create a digital and social media strategy across all platforms, building digital confidence and growing businesses.

It consists of practical workshops such as managing wellbeing while working online, and features guest speakers like Silke Thistlewood and Emma Jefferys.

Topics include writing a business plan, legal options when starting a business, confidence techniques, branding, blogs and keeping your business safe online.

Jane set up Successful Mums in 2014, and has helped more than 5,000 women go back to work. She told the Times: “I’m a teacher, careers advisor and coach.
I started off teaching entrepreneurial skills, and since starting Successful Mums I’ve focused on women returners and digital training.”

She added: “This course is a great fit for women who are already working for themselves and looking to increase their online engagement.

“It’s really important to have a digital and social media presence when you are your own boss.

“It’s a simple way to engage with a wide range of customers, and build trusted partnerships, too.”

Students are required to allow for an additional day a week for working remotely on homework such as creating promotional content and completing workbooks online.

The course will lead to an NCFE Level Two qualification in Digital Promotion for Business and a Level One in Stress Awareness.

To qualify for the free package, attendees must be over 19 years old, live in Kent, and have proof of residency in the UK or the EU for at least three years.

The majority of Successful Mums’ training courses are funded by local companies, so they can be provided free of charge.

The Digital and Social Media course is supported by the London Skills and Development Network, which has also backed its Back to Work course at the Old Fire Station in Tonbridge.

There will also be a Business Start-up course at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks next Wednesday [March 25].

The Digital and Social Media for Business Mums course will be running again at the Beer Seller pub in Tonbridge High Street from next month, with further programmes at Tonbridge Baptist Church in May and June.
