Dig out your family treasures for Southborough Lions' Antiques Roadshow

THE Gala Day of Southborough and District Lions Club will take place at Meadows School, Southborough Common, on Sunday June 25 at 1pm.

This 36th annual day will feature a new attraction, based on the BBC’s popular Antiques Road Show. Members of the public are invited to bring their possessions and have them valued by the experts for a fee of £2.

Also taking part for the first time will be Tigers Gymnastics team and Razzamataz Theatre School from Tonbridge.

The public are additionally invited to spend £1 for a chance to win the valuable contents of a large wheelbarrow. 

Other attractions include heavy horses, classic cars and birds of prey, plus the TS Brilliant sea cadets band and a Punch and Judy show.

The Lions’ President, Sylvia Fuller, will preside over her second Gala Day, before handing over her chain of office in the company of the new Southborough Mayor.
