THE Lions Club and Tonbridge Daily are appealing to the town’s shutterbugs to submit their best photos as they begin to put together next year’s Tonbridge calendar.
Last year, the almanac, which is produced by the online blog Tonbridge Daily and sponsored by the Lions proved so popular it sold out twice, with 700 copies purchased, raising £3,300 for local causes in the process.
It featured 12 seasonally-themed photos selected by the online blog, whose thousands of followers regularly submit aesthetically pleasing shots of the town.
A spokesperson for the Lions announced that the price would remain at £7, adding: “This year we want you, the public, to get more involved and provide Tonbridge Daily with some fantastic shots of the town.
“So let’s all get snapping with those cameras, and you never know – you may get published.”
They added that all photos that will be submitted to Tonbridge Daily need to be high resolution in order to come out well in print, so ‘unless you have a fantastic camera phone, they are usually not good enough to go to print’.
