Patrols were called to Scott Road on March 25 and arrested the 17-year-old boy on suspicion of a public order offence, criminal damage and possessing cannabis.
While he was being apprehended, it is alleged he assaulted two of the officers while spitting blood and phlegm. He was later released pending further investigation.
