100-year-old tree blown over at Tonbridge Castle

STORM THE RAMPARTS: A tree estimated to be over 100 years old has fallen down on the Castle Motte.

The mature oak was felled by high winds from Storm Freya. It had no external signs of disease but the roots were found to be suffering from a fungal infection.
