Triathlon: Strong debut for Cadney-Moon in Cranbrook
MOON SHINES: (L-R) Callum Cadney-Moon with David Bagge and Carol Tsang in Cranbrook

Competing in the friendly, rural race in the M25-29 age group he completed the 300m swim, 20m bike ride and 5km run in 1 hour 14 minutes 22 seconds.

David Bagge (M40-44) finished fourth overall, winning his age group in 1:04.38, and Carol Tsang (F40-44) also had a strong race to finish third in her age category in 1:27.46.

Club members also competed in the Ardingly White Bird Triathlon and Duathlon, held at the picturesque Ardingly College with the swim taking place in the reservoir.

Richard Bysouth (M40-44) had an eventful start to the standard distance (1.5km swim, 46km bike, 7.5km run), finding a problem with his bike and having to borrow another from a club-mate who was spectating.

Meanwhile John Kendall (M55-59) had packed the wrong footwear and had to complete the race in his walking shoes.

Despite these distractions both produced impressive results, Bysouth finishing fourth overall and first in age group in 2:35.54 while Kendall came second in age group in 2:55:44.

Rowena Lennox-Howey took the spoils in the Super Sprint distance (200m swim, 23km bike, 2.5km run), finishing first female in 1:29.18.

And Amy Pay showed fine form ahead of her European race in Romania, taking the Duathlon (5km run, 23km bike, 2.5km run) title in 1:26:54, almost 15 minutes ahead of her nearest rival.
