Snooker: Dylan has DJ Davis dancing to his tune

The 11-year-old from Paddock Wood played a frame against the snooker legend which was sponsored by Victoria Snooker Centre in Tunbridge Wells.

As Dylan took his jacket off, revealing the sponsor patches adorning his waistcoat, Davis (pictured) joked: “He’s got more logos than me.”

He added: “I haven’t felt this intimidated since I was playing Alex Higgins in the Eighties.”

Dylan broke off to start the frame, straightaway leaving Davis snookered behind the green ball and raising his arms aloft.

The 61-year-old has reinvented himself as a DJ named ‘Thundermuscle’ and is playing a set at the Glastonbury festival this weekend.

But he retains the skills that saw him hold the world No 1 ranking for seven yeas, and he soon sharpened up his game, knocking in a 45 break and leaving Dylan few chances.

Dylan responded with a solid 25 break of his own and then left himself snookered behind the pink. Undaunted, he pulled off a superb ‘masse’ shot, where he managed to swerve around it, and then managed to pot the black.

Davis advised afterwards: “Well he can play the game, that’s clear. Don’t use too much coaching if he’s a natural talent and always play him against better opponents so he can learn from them.”
