IT WAS another frustrating day at Kent College as Tunbridge Wells Ladies once again failed to capitalise on a good performance.

They know they must add a ruthless streak in front of goal to rise up the East Region Division One South table.

Despite Blueharts scoring soon after the start, the hosts remained positive and worked hard for each other.

Wells kept most of the possession and impressed with set plays in attack and defence but they lacked a goal to reflect their dominance.

After the break the home side’s press and work-rate were effective and they had the majority of possession again.

They  consistently penetrated the Blueharts circle, Harriet Alexander driving to the baseline to earn a number of penalty corners which they could not convert.

The visitors had one real break in the second period, won a short corner and managed to squeeze it into the net after the initial shot was saved, a bitter blow for Wells after another good display.

The Ladies now entertain Old Loughtonians on at Kent College on Saturday [November 24, 1pm start].
