TUNBRIDGE WELLS Ladies slipped to defeat after finding themselves under sustained pressure at Kent College against East London, who are third in East Region Division One South.

The visitors were skilful, fast and physical, and despite spirited resistance from a defiant Wells, the home side conceded twice in the first half.

Wells’ press after the break was very effective in putting pressure on the East London defence but they could not convert their opportunities.

A third East London goal was scored from a penalty corner strike early in the second half.

It was testament to a great defensive effort by the home side, managed by the player of match Amy Hare, that East London were unable to find the net again.

Tunbridge Wells Ladies now travel to Crostyx on Saturday [November 11, 2.30 start].
