Football: Tonbridge Angels’ Mackley called up for county

by Andy Tong | 6th December 2018

TONBRIDGE ANGELS’ Becky Mackley has been called up to the standby list for the Kent FA Representative Squad for their match against Gillingham at Rochester United on Thursday [December 6].

The Ladies’ manager Dan Couldridge said: “This is not just recognition of Becks’ recent form but also recognition of Tonbridge Angels Ladies’ ever-improving reputation in Kent.

“As we all know, there are a number of players in our squad who are good enough to be selected for county football and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before other Angels follow in Becks’ footsteps.”

The Ladies have advanced to the next round of the cup after their game against Bexhill United Reserves was cancelled on Sunday due to the visitors being unable to raise a side.
