Football: Spackman keeps Tunbridge Wells run going

Tunbridge Wells 1 Cray Valley PM 1
TUNBRIDGE WELLS held their own against promotion hopefuls Cray Valley PM to keep up their excellent run of form.
The visitors lie in fourth place in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division while Wells are in 16th having won their last six matches, including four in the league.
New signing Harrison Carnegie, a fast winger, made his debut for the Wells while Cray fielded ex-Charlton Athletic player Kevin Lisbie.
Both sides played a fast, open game from the start but failed to capitalise on the few chances that came their way, with Callum Hampson equal to the task in the Wells goal.
The deadlock was broken on the stroke of half- time when Wells captain Perry Spackman rose to plant a powerful header past keeper Andy Walker.
The lead did not last long; two minutes into the second period Anthony Edgar slid the ball past Hampson after a well-worked move.
Despite the deteriorating conditions, the second half was played at a fast pace. Both teams looked for the winner but it failed to materialise.
Wells will look to maintain their unbeaten run at eighth-placed Lordswood on Saturday [December 22, kick-off 3pm].
