RUSTHALL lost the second of their joint-managers less than a month after the first when Andrew McKechnie resigned, following in the footsteps of his colleague Mike Cramp.

The club’s chairman Joe Croker said: “He has made this decision because he thought it was in the best interests of the club.

“While I understand the reasons, I regret Ketters’s departure as I believe that with time he would have turned results around.”

He added: “The club would like to thank Ketters for his tireless efforts and dedication to the club. We wish him well for the future.”

Rusthall remain second from bottom in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division, six points adrift of 18th place.

A poor pass by Lynos Rwodzi allowed Sam Stace a clear run on goal in the 11th minute and he coolly drilled the ball past keeper Joe Cullip.

But the game was evenly matched with few chances until the 20th minute when Danny Mitchell was sent off for dangerous play.

Although they had lost their dominant centre-half, Rusthall defended resolutely as K Sports had more of the possession.

However, the home side scored again in the 57th minute when Stace scored his second from a corner which the Rustics could not deal with.

Stace could have had a hat-trick before the end but the ball was cleared off of the line.

Rusthall are at home to Lordswood on Saturday [December 15, kick-off 3pm].
