Athletics: Tunbridge Wells Harriers on capital form for London Marathon

TUNBRIDGE WELLS Harriers had a successful trip to the London Marathon with Alex Jeffreys leading the club’s male runners home with a time of 2hr 51min.

He was followed by Tom Woolley in 3:05, with his sister Harriet Woolley (3:07) the first female home two minutes behind him, alongside Tim Lucas (3:07).

They were followed by Geoff Turner (3:18), Cathy Gill (3:18), Steve Austin (3:23), Hayley Larkin (3:29), Nicola Morris (3:31), Harriot Sinclair (3:32), Sonja King (3:42), Martin Hobbs (3.47), Steve Wellstead (3:54), Paul Hollis (3:58), Derek Harrison (4:00), Stella Richardson (4:00), Amanda Smith (4:01), Mark Davey (4:14), Kate Waddell (4:24), Andy Boorman (4:26) and Allan Jones (4:29).

Many fellow Harriers offered their roadside support in the closing miles, having volunteered for marshalling duties for the event.
