The most wonderful time of the year

‘Tis the season for joy, laughter, and quality time with loved ones. If you’re seeking the perfect place to create cherished memories, look no further than Bewl Water’s newest Christmas experience

From November 19 to December 24, southeast England’s largest reservoir, nestled on the Kent/Sussex border, will be magically transformed into a winter wonderland. Christmas at Bewl Water is an event you won’t want to miss, particularly if you have young children.

The two-hour immersive experience opens its doors for the very first time this month and promises to transport families into a magical world straight from a child’s dreams. The experience takes place under cosy marquees, ensuring that the unpredictable weather won’t dampen your holiday spirit.

Conveniently found just a 20-minute drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells, the event is priced from £40 per child and £15 per adult, which includes free parking. Be sure to secure your tickets in advance through the Christmas.bewlwater.co.uk website.

This wonderful attraction offers a range of fabulous festive activities, all included in the ticket price. Upon arrival, Santa’s Head Elves will warmly welcome your children, presenting each with goodies and their own special stamp card to track their progress through each festive workshop.

Journey through the dazzling light tunnel, which leads to a world of enchantment. Wander through the magical woodland before entering the Narnia-inspired wardrobe. Behind the towering doors lies Fairytale Land, where giant storybooks and beanstalks come to life.

Capture plenty of photos before exploring Candy Land, where visitors will encounter giant nutcrackers and lollypops, among several other Christmas elements that will leave little elves filled with joy.

In addition to exploring the enchanted wonderlands, there will be traditional festive treat stands, souvenir shops and themed play zones for children to release their excitement before participating in each activity.

Begin your journey at Mrs Claus’ bakery, where children will decorate scrumptious gingerbread with icing and colourful toppings. Afterwards, make your way to Santa’s post office to write him a heartfelt letter. And don’t forget Rudolph and his dedicated crew; they’ll require nourishment to stay energised for their most important night of the year. Lend a hand to the mischievous elves and help them craft special treats to keep Santa’s team in top form.

Children can also dive into Christmas crafts and decorate ornaments to take home, toast marshmallows and enjoy sweet treats and hot drinks from the Winter Warmers cabin!

The grand finale of Christmas at Bewl Water is a magical visit to see Santa Claus himself. Before stepping into his enchanting Grotto for an exclusive family meet-and-greet, be sure to check in with his Head Elves, who will be performing live Christmas tales throughout the day.

Inside the Grotto, children can share all their dreams and wishes and, if they’ve been good, receive a special early Christmas present! The Grotto itself has been decked out with beautiful decorations, setting the stage for capturing those cherished moments with your loved ones.

When booking tickets online, parents will be prompted to provide the name of each child and their interests, ensuring a truly personalised and magical visit. While grotto bookings are limited to six people, tickets for Christmas at Bewl Water are available across multiple sessions during the festive season. But be aware that peak times are selling quickly.
