Weapons seized in Tunbridge Wells cannabis raid

The weapons were discovered along with a cannabis cultivation, when police executed a search warrant at a property in Holmewood Road in the High Brooms area of the town.

The seized weapons

Officers from the Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team entered the address at 6.30am on Tuesday 9 February 2021. Quantities of cannabis were initially found in the kitchen, before 35 plants were discovered underneath the stairs.

Among weapons seized were three wooden implements with knives and spikes taped to them. Cash and several mobile phones were also confiscated, including one device alleged to have been thrown from a window of the property as police entered.

Two men, aged 29 and 59, were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation and supply of drugs. Both were later released pending further investigation.
