Tunbridge Wells Thai restaurant announces reopening

Popular Thai restaurant Kai’s Kitchen, opposite Tunbridge Wells station, is set to reopen after a devastating flood last summer forced the venue’s closure.

The flash flood hit the town in the early hours of July 18 2017, with the unprecedented rainfall resulting in more than 60 emergency calls. Kai’s Kitchen, which has a prime location on Mount Pleasant, suffered the brunt of the deluge as water overwhelmed the site.

After ongoing battles with insurance firms, the team at the family-run restaurant announced on the Kai’s Kitchen Facebook page that repairs have finally progressed, and they will once again begin taking reservations from the April 16, in advance of their official reopening on April 24.

You can find full details on the reopening on the Kai’s Kitchen Facebook page.
