Tunbridge Wells temperatures set to soar for Bank Holiday Monday

The guernsey literary and potato peel pie society is a summer read that is filled with charm.

After a wash-out week, the mercury is set to soar this Bank Holiday weekend, with record breaking temperatures hinted at by the Met Office.

In the South East we can anticipate temperatures up to 30C with low humidity, making it the perfect weather for soaking up the sun.

Locally, the mercury is likely to hover at a more comfortable 23C, which still puts Tunbridge Wells ahead of top holiday destination, Ibiza (18C).

The current record for the Bank Holiday Monday stands at 23.6C, which was measured in Hampshire in 1999.
