Tunbridge Wells ice rink is back and here is all you need to know

Calverley Grounds ice rink tipped for record ticket sales

Autumn leaves in Calverley Grounds are about to make way for a winter wonderland with the return of the town’s popular ice rink.

Online booking has now opened for the attraction, which last year was used by 39,000, the highest ever number.

The rink, which is funded by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC), is open every day except Christmas Day from Friday, November 17, to Monday, January 1.

Councillor Jane March, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Leisure, said: “The rink is now a regular fixture in the Tunbridge Wells Christmas calendar.

“It is definitely something you should include
in your festive plans, whether you’re a skater or just enjoy watching and taking in the atmosphere you’ll have a great time.”

This year is the seventh time the rink has been
in use. Last year figure skaters from Gillingham Silver Blades performed at the opening. Details
of any launch event this year have yet to be confirmed.

Regular sessions, costing £14 for adults and £9.50 for children aged four to 15, are held most hours from 11am to 8pm with parent and toddler sessions held daily at 9.45am.
