Travel company takes top award

Baldwins Travel Group has been named Travel Agent of the Year for London and the South East at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards.

It’s the tenth year in a row that the company has won the prestigious title and is ‘testament to the hard work and dedication of the growing team across Kent and Sussex’.

Accolade

This year’s London ceremony was attended by more than 900 trade members, and the awards are recognised as the industry’s top accolade for excellence and achievement.

Joint Managing Directors Nick and Chris Marks let their father, Ron Marks, take to the stage first to receive the award from ITV presenter Stephen Mulhern, in recognition of his work leading the company for the past 25 years.

His wife Sally, who is also a Director, and 12 other members of Baldwins led the applause.

Nick Marks said: “I am so pleased for all the team. Without their dedication and knowledge

we wouldn’t have been able to win this coveted award for the last ten years. This award is

wholly theirs.”

The company was also shortlisted in the Marketing Promotion of the Year category, while Tonbridge Branch Manager Trevor Ridler was shortlisted for Aspire Agent of the Year.

Baldwins is part of the consortium Advantage Travel Partnership, which supports the agency in a number of ways and allows independent businesses to thrive alongside multiple brands.

The family-owned and run business has an annual turnover of £30million, and its branches include both Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge.
