Top employers attend Sackville School careers event

This year’s Department for Education annual performance tables confirmed Sackville School as a top mixed ability school in Kent. The tables rank schools across the country according to last summer’s GCSE results and Sackville’s were the best for a non-grammar school in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Maidstone and were matched by only one other school in the entire county.

The school believes this success is testament to small classes and experienced and dedicated teaching; however, Sackville also recognises the importance of preparing students for the next steps after exams. To this end the school recently organised a careers event with over forty stands featuring top employers from all the main professions including Markerstudy, AXA PPP, A J Bell, Fidelity, Pennard Vets and the NHS.

Many of the exhibitors were Sackville alumni covering a range of careers including teaching, technical theatre, animation and architectural model making. This is an example of the close personal support, advice and guidance which Sackville students receive giving them excellent preparation both for examinations and for life in general.

To find out more, visit the school’s Open Morning on 19th April or arrange a private visit at a time convenient to you. Sackville minibuses serve a wide area across Kent, Sussex and Surrey.
