Another great success at the 42nd Sevenoaks Triathlon as George Berry, Knight Frank Sevenoaks Office Head, was delighted to be able to present one of his colleagues, Tom Wade, with the winner’s trophy for a second year in a row.

Quite an achievement! Tom successfully defended his title in a time of 1 hour, 21 minutes and 15 seconds. He said, “It was certainly a bigger build up for me to this increasingly competitive, early season triathlon, that is incredibly well run and in such a beautiful setting. It was great to come away with the win but the real bonus was the fantastic weather”.

Also taking part on this perfect bright and sunny Sunday morning, with an improved time from last year, were Edward Rook and Tilly Wilson, who are based in the Sevenoaks office, and formed the Knight Frank All-Stars relay team as well as local girl Kate Horton, who competed individually to shave over 4 minutes off her previous record. No mean feat over an 800m swim, 25km bike ride and 8km run in the hilly Kent countryside.

Knight Frank also presented a prize to the fastest local athletes, with Kirandeep Marsh just winning the fasted local female by a whisker (0.18 of a second) in a time of 1 hour, 45 minutes and 48 seconds and Hugh Gibbs winning the fastest local male event in a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes and 8 seconds.

Hannah Ewens, who is a member of Crystal Palace Tri-Club, rose to the challenge by winning the women’s event in the commendable time of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 37 seconds.

Congratulations, also, to all at the Sevenoaks Tri-Club who organise and run this very popular event, where the places sell out within hours of entries opening, with great efficiency each year to make it a great success for all the competitors who take part.
