St George’s ‘Quizmas’ raises funds for vulnerable children

90th Birthday Tea Party 7!

St George’s Childcare raised more than £1,500 at its inaugural Christmas quiz at the Guinea Butt pub in Tunbridge Wells on December 3.

The money raised at the ‘Quizmas’ event will help to provide equipment for St George’s nursery on Chilston Road and support assisted places for vulnerable children within the community.

More than 70 people attended the evening, which included a bake-off competition and raffle.

Morgane Glew, Business Manager at St George’s, said: “It was a great evening and wonderful to get so many of our staff, parents and friends together.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of all those who attended. The money raised will help to benefit all the children who attend St George’s. It’s an early Christmas present.”

In its Ofsted inspection in April, St George’s Childcare was recognised as an ‘outstanding’ nursery, placing it in the top 20 per cent of childcare providers in the UK.
