Southeastern’s ‘major changes’ will not affect Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge

Perk and Pearl

Major changes to Southeastern railway timetables will not largely impact on passengers in West Kent.

The eastern part of the county will bear the brunt of modifications which will begin on May 20, with a greater overall number of services into London.

Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge residents shall not see any services lost. But as a knock on effect, some train times are likely to be lost.

A spokesman from Southeastern said: ‘There’ll be more services and new journey opportunities for several stations, but many trains will be revised and will run at different times than they do now.

‘New Thameslink connections will be available from London Bridge every few minutes to Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras and beyond.

‘Thameslink will also run new direct services from some Southeastern stations.’
